Why this page exists
Several countries require a website to identify its operator in a place that is easy to find and always reachable. In Germany this is the Impressum required by section 5 of the Digital Services Act (DDG); Austria and Switzerland have comparable rules. This page carries that information for anyone who needs it, wherever they are.
Site operator
json-yaml.com
An independent project operated by one individual.
Email: contact@json-yaml.com
We do not publish a postal address. This is an independent project run by one person rather than a company, and correspondence is handled by email. Email reaches the operator directly and is the fastest route for any notice, including formal ones. There is no telephone line.
Registration and tax details
Company registration number: not applicable. This site is not a registered company; it is run by one person as an independent project.
VAT identification number: not applicable. The site is free, takes no payments, and is not VAT-registered.
Regulatory authority: not applicable. Operating a free format-conversion tool is not a regulated activity.
Responsible for content: the operator of json-yaml.com, reachable at contact@json-yaml.com.
Dispute resolution
The European Commission operates an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We are not obliged, and are not willing, to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body. This is stated because German law requires the position to be declared either way. It does not affect your statutory rights, and it does not stop us trying to resolve any complaint directly — write to contact@json-yaml.com and we will.
Liability for content and links
We are responsible for our own content on this site. We are not obliged to monitor external information we transmit or store, or to investigate circumstances suggesting unlawful activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected; liability in that respect begins only once we know of a specific infringement, and we will remove such content promptly on becoming aware of it.
External links were checked for unlawful content when they were added. We have no ongoing control over the content of linked sites and are not responsible for it. If you notice a link here pointing at something unlawful, tell us at contact@json-yaml.com.
Copyright
The content and design of this site are protected by copyright. Reproduction, adaptation, distribution, or any use beyond the limits of copyright law requires our written consent, except where the terms of use permit it — code examples in the documentation are provided for you to use freely.
Third-party content is identified as such. If you believe material here infringes your rights, contact us at contact@json-yaml.com and we will remove it promptly if the complaint is well founded.
